We're shooting to kill

Last night I was able to score a free sneak preview pass to see Tim Burton's new film Corpse Bride. I anticipated this being an awesome movie and I was definately not let down. The characters were amazing, the music was Danny Elfman at his best and the fact that the whole thing was done with start/stop animations blows me away.

Apparently Burton started conceptualizing this idea in 1995 and has been working since then to make this movie the most flawless start/stop film around. Well, he did a pretty good job. It's ublievable to watch these characters movements and know that it was all done one frame at a time.
